Jennylyn Mercado moves on, brushes off negative thoughts

MANILA, Philippines - Jennylyn Mercado, a pregnant TV star who has decided to raise her child as a single mom, has moved on and said on Thursday that she tries not to think negative thoughts so that her child would not be affected.

In an interview conducted by GMA's Nelson Canlas for 24 Oras' Chikaminute, the writer noted that Mercado was cheerful and had a beautiful aura.

“Sabi ko nga ano… darating din ang time na kailangan ko ring mag move-on, kailangan kong tanggapin na ganito…single mom," Jennylyn said.

The TV star also talked about her pregnancy and that she was very excited when she had her ultrasound.

When asked about the results, Jennylyn merely said:" Secret muna... siguro next month."

Jennylyn is four months pregnant with the child spawned by her relationship with another TV star Patrick Garcia.

The two have separated with Jennylyn determined to raise the child even as a single mom.

The actress' determination has earned praised from some of her colleagues and on Thursday said that she was thankful for the people who continue to support her, including her former partner Mark Herras.

She said that she would continue to be thankful to the people who support her, especially those who support her "without malice."

“Nakaka-touch ang mga ganong klaseng tao like ni Mark yan..ano siyempre iba pa rin talaga kapag may pinagsamahan kayo. Natutuwa ako kay Mark kasi hindi siya nakakalimot talaga," paglalahad ng aktres. - GMANews.TV
